Energy Performance Certificates
The Government have suspended the legal requirement for property sellers to obtain Home Information Packs (HIPs) prior to marketing their properties. In suspending the Packs the housing minister is quoted as saying "by suspending HIPs today it means that home sellers will be able to get on with marketing their home without having to shell out hundreds of pounds up front"
HOWEVER, IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT AN ENERGY PERFORMANCE CERTIFICATE (EPC) - WHICH RANKS THE ENERGY EFFICIENCY OF A HOME ON A SCALE A TO G - WILL BE RETAINED AND MUST BE PRODUCED BY THE SELLERS WITHIN 28 DAYS OF THE COMMENCEMENT OF MARKETING THEIR PROPERTY.
Curtis O'Boyle are able to arrange for EPCs to be prepared through their suppliers - call any Curtis O'Boyle Office for more information
